For Dr. Yanez, it’s hard to pick just one thing she loves about her job! One particularly rewarding aspect of being a dentist is the ability to develop long-lasting relationships with her patients. She finds a lot of pride in the trust and confidence her patients and their families place in her. She has been a part of the Grand Dental team serving patients for nearly a decade.

Become a Dentist?
Dr. Yanez’s journey into dentistry began close to home where she grew up listening to her mother share stories from her own dental career. This exposure sparked a deep curiosity and admiration for the profession. Notably, her mother served as the original dental assistant for the very first Grand Dental office in Franklin Park.
As she grew older, Dr. Yanez discovered her own passion for the field, drawn to the unique combination of science, artistry, and collaboration that dentistry offers. Today, she honors the unwavering encouragement of her family by bringing that same dedication and compassion to every patient she cares for.
Where Did She Study Dentistry?
Dr. Yanez offers patients more than clinical expertise—she brings a truly global perspective shaped by a life lived across continents. Due to her father’s career, she spent a few years of her childhood immersed in diverse cultures, living in countries including Chile, Mexico, Taiwan, Poland, Denmark, and Australia.
These experiences cultivated a deep sense of empathy, adaptability, and cultural awareness that she carries into her practice each day. She takes pride in creating a welcoming environment where every patient feels understood, respected, and valued.
As a proud UIC Alum, she earned both her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Outside of the Office,
What Does Dr. Yanez Like to Do?
Outside of the office, She embraces a vibrant and family-centered life. She is happily married to her high school sweetheart and together they are raising three children, including twins.
Her passion for animals is reflected in her lively household, which includes a dog, a cat, a bearded dragon, and even a small flock of backyard chickens. Whether she’s caring for her family or her patients, her nurturing spirit shines through in all she does.
As enthusiastic Chicago Fire fans, Dr. Yanez and her family love cheering on their favorite team. They also enjoy staying active together, whether it’s playing soccer, fishing, hiking, or spending time in the garden. During quieter moments, she embraces more peaceful, creative pursuits like crocheting or caring for her backyard chickens, finding joy in the simple balance between a busy professional life and meaningful time at home.
